Ten Questions About the Law of Moses

When we approach the OT Law and the Ten Commandments, there is a great temptation to assume things that we cannot prove from the Scripture itself. We shouldn't do that.

Here are 10 questions that may help you identify whether you are making assumptions:

  1. Where does the Bible say that we are free to categorize the Law and dismiss just two-thirds of the categories?
  2. Where does the Bible say that men are free to change the Sabbath to any day they wish?
  3. Where does the Bible say that the Ten Commandments are God's eternal, moral law?
  4. Where does the Bible say that the Ten Commandments are the revelation of God's inherent righteousness?
  5. Where does the Bible say that the Ten Commandments were binding upon Gentiles?
  6. Where does the Bible say that we can be sanctified by the Law?
  7. Where does the Bible say that the Law was a covenant of grace?
  8. Where does the Bible say that the ministry of condemnation and death is also the ministry of righteousness and life (2 Corinthians 3:7-9)?
  9. Where does the Bible say that Jesus' commands were merely an explanation and reiteration of the Law?
  10. Where does the Bible say that the Jews can still be in a relationship with God without standing under the curse of the Law?
